  6. This is a demo version of the commercial Electrics V1.1 Digital
  7. Designer program.  Although schematic drawings cannot be saved by
  8. this demo version, network files are still generated during a save,
  9. allowing the design to be simulated.
  10.  
  11. Electrics is a group of programs for designing and simulating digital
  12. electronic circuits on the Amiga computer.  The circuit to be tested
  13. is drawn using simple and complex gates.  Multiple logic levels and
  14. drive strengths permit realistic circuit behavior during simulation.
  15. All programs have a graphical interface, and run on the Workbench
  16. screen.
  17.  
  18. SCHEMATIC PROGRAM:
  19.   A circuit design is drawn using Wire, Label, Text, and Symbol
  20.   objects.  Symbol objects are obtained from a library of simple
  21.   gates (NAND, XOR, etc.) and complex TTL gates (74193, 74245, etc.).
  22.   The circuit design may contain one sheet, or span up to 99 sheets.
  23.   The sheet size is dynamic, and will grow to accomodate the objects.

  25. SIMULATOR PROGRAM:
  26.   The circuit design is simulated by applying signal levels, and
  27.   evaluating the results.  The sequence of signal levels to apply is
  28.   described in an ARexx script.  Signal levels may be '0' (low),
  29.   '1' (high), 'X' (unknown), or 'Z' (floating).  The activity of the
  30.   signals may be observed by connecting various viewing programs to
  31.   the Simulator.  Original signals may be renamed, used to create new
  32.   ones, or grouped to create signal Buses.
  33.   
  34. VIEWER PROGRAM:
  35.   The Viewer may be connected to the Simulator in order to record
  36.   signal activity during simulation.  This activity is displayed as a
  37.   trace waveform of both Single and Bus signals.  Over 4 billion time
  38.   units may be recorded for over 64000 signals.
  39.   
  40. DIGITS PROGRAM:
  41.   The Digits program is a multi-digit 7-segment display that may be
  42.   connected to the Simulator to observe signal activity.  Each digit
  43.   has seven segments, a colon, and a decimal point.  Individual common
  44.   lines allow the digits to emulate common-Anode and common-Cathode
  45.   displays.

  47. AREXX SHELL:
  48.   The ARexx Shell provides a command-line shell for interactive
  49.   simulation and signal probing, or for general-purpose ARexx
  50.   operations.
  51.   
  52. PROJECT MANAGER:
  53.   The Project Manager creates and organizes design project directories.
  54.   
  55. Electrics comes with illustrated AmigaGuide instructions, and requires
  56. Workbench 2.0 or greater.
